عن الكتاب
Heathcliff is a strange child Mr. Earnshaw brings in from the streets and raises alongside his daughter Catherine at the remote farmhouse of Wuthering Heights on the Yorkshire moors. The two grow up bound together by an unbreakable attachment, but Catherine marries a refined wealthy man, and Heathcliff leaves in anger, returning years later rich and hard. From there Heathcliff turns to revenge on everyone around him: Catherine's husband, the sister he marries without love, and the son of the man who once wronged him. Even after Catherine's death her ghost haunts him, and he finds no peace until he dies and is buried beside her, as the cruelty finally ends with the new generation. A novel from the series Novels from World Literature.
